Residential Electrician (309A)
Hamilton Full-time Residential
Compensation: $38–$42 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

We’re looking for a licensed 309-A Service Electrician who values craftsmanship, integrity, and customer satisfaction. If you’re organized, resourceful, and take pride in delivering exceptional work, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:

Represent YLite Electric with professionalism, respect, and a customer-first mindset.

Diagnose and repair electrical issues in residential homes quickly and safely.
-
Install wiring, receptacles, switches, lighting, panels, EV chargers, surge protection, and smart home systems.
-
Perform service upgrades, renovations, and preventative maintenance work.
-
Ensure all work complies with ESA and Ontario Building Code standards.
-
Communicate clearly with homeowners about issues, timelines, and solutions.
-
Prepare accurate estimates, service reports, and time entries.
-
Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle, tools, and workspace.
-
Collaborate with office staff and apprentices to ensure smooth project flow.
-
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service requests.
-
Promote safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
-
Valid 309-A Construction & Maintenance Electrician License (Skilled Trades Ontario).
-
Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean 3-year abstract.

Minimum 3 years of residential service experience.
-
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
-
Excellent knowledge of residential wiring, lighting systems, and code compliance.
-
Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints.

Familiarity with tablets and field management software.
-
Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to every project.
-
Clean criminal background check required.
Working Conditions:
-
Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments, including crawl spaces, attics, and basements.

Lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
-
Must be comfortable working at heights or on ladders.
-
Use of PPE and adherence to all company safety standards required.

Flexible scheduling may include occasional evenings or weekends.

Travel between job sites within Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Burlington, and surrounding areas.

We’re seeking a licensed 309-A Service Electrician who thrives in fast-paced commercial environments, communicates clearly with clients, and delivers exceptional workmanship on every project.
Key Responsibilities:

Represent YLite Electric with professionalism, safety, and customer focus at all times.

Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial buildings and facilities.

Install, upgrade, and commission electrical panels, conduits, lighting, receptacles, controls, and distribution equipment.

Conduct preventive maintenance and system testing for reliability and safety.
-
Ensure all work meets ESA, OESC, and building code standards.
-
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
-
Manage on-site tasks efficiently, coordinating with contractors, site supervisors, and facility managers.

Maintain organized, well-stocked service vehicles and tools.
-
Complete detailed service reports, time logs, and documentation promptly.

Provide clear communication to clients about scope, issues, and recommendations.

Mentor apprentices and contribute to a safe, supportive team culture.

Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service work.
Qualifications:
